This regulation states that every producer and importer of goods that listed on the annexes and to be traded in Indonesia market shall affix label in Indonesia language. The lists of goods affected by these regulations are provided in the annexes of Regulation of Minister of Trade No.22/M-DAG/PER/5/2010. Importers must affix the label before the imported goods are traded in Indonesia market. The label affixed must be clear and easy to understand by consumers. These regulations are not mandatory applied for the following goods: (a) goods which are sold in bulk and packed directly in front of the consumers; (b) goods which are listed in the Annex I, Annex II, Annex III and Annex IV of regulation of Minister of Trade No. 22/M-DAG/PER/5/2010, if used as raw materials and / or other auxiliary materials in the production process. The aforementioned producers and importers of goods must submit sample of the label to Director of Domestic Business Development and Enterprise Registration, Ministry of Trade. Procedure for getting the approval for the label is listed in the regulation No.22/M-DAG/PER/5/2010, free of charge. If all requirements have been completed, Director of Domestic Business Development and Enterprise Registration will issue certificate of affixing label in Indonesia language for goods, in 5 days after receiving the sample. The certificate is valid as long as the producers and/or importers produce and/or import the same goods mentioned in the certificate. If the producers and/or importers produce and/or import goods other than goods mentioned in the certificate, the producers and/or importers must submit the sample of the label to Director of Domestic Business Development and Enterprise Registration, Ministry of Trade. Requirements on how to put the label as well as information contained in the label are stated in the annexes of the Regulation of Minister of Trade No.22/M-DAG/PER/5/2010; whereas sanctions and any other requirements are included in both regulations. For goods which are listed in Annex I, II, III, and IV of Regulation of Minister of Trade No. 22/M-DAG/PER/5/2010 which are already in the market before the date of entry into force of the regulation, the producers and/or importers of the goods have to adjust their label of products to comply with the regulation within 28 months after the date of entry into force of the regulation.
