The regulations provide for a temporary exemption from the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Act 1997 for the provisions of the Energy Efficiency (Energy Using Products) Regulations 2002 which relate to minimum energy performance standards for ballasts for fluorescent lamps (ballasts) and electric storage water heaters (water heaters).
