Description
The purpose of this regulation is to establish the conformity assessment procedure with respect to Mexican Official Standard NOM-020-SCT 2/1995 on general requirements for the design and construction of road tankers for the transportation of dangerous materials and wastes. Specifications SCT 306, SCT 307 and SCT 312. This conformity assessment procedure is applicable to the builders, rebuilders, transporters and users of road tankers, according to their respective areas of responsibility, under specifications SCT 306, SCT 307 and SCT 312, for use in the transportation of dangerous materials and wastes manufactured as from 18 November 1997. Road tankers manufactured before that date may optionally undergo vehicle integrity checks.
