Description

As of 1st April 2003, six remaining Prescribed Articles previously under Part IV of the Public Utilities (Electricity) Regulations (Cap 261, Rg 2) will be transferred to SPRING Singapore as controlled goods.  These are accessories for electrical fittings used in electrical installation.  This makes a total of forty-five (45) categories of controlled goods under the Consumer Protection (Safety Requirements) Registration Scheme or CPS Scheme. Registration of these new Controlled Goods will be based on Certificates of Conformity (COCs) issued by CABs designated by SPRING Singapore or MRA partners. They are required to be marked with the SAFETY Mark before placing them in Singapore market.
