The European Commission called Belgium to order on 17 December 2001 for failure to comply with Article 8, paragraph 1, of Directive 98/34/EC of 22 June 1998. The offence, No. 2001/0630, relates to four Royal Decrees of 22 December 2000, published in the Belgian Official Journal "Moniteur Belge" on 30 December 2000. The four draft Royal Decrees currently notified to the European Commission replace the four Royal Decrees which are the subject of the above-mentioned offence No. 2001/0630. The titles of the draft Royal Decrees are identical to those of the Royal Decrees of 22 December 2000. The texts have been supplemented and amended in the light of developments with regard to games of chance in Belgium
