Description
The regulation contains provisions concerning national type-approval of systems, components or separate technical units to vehicles. The new regulation replaces the existing regulation concerning type-approval VVFS 1993:18. The following important changes have been introduced: · The provisions concerning type-approval are similar to EC and ECE type-approval. · Type-approval can only be issued to the manufacturer. · The manufacturer must have a quality assurance system that has been checked and approved. · The production will be subject to regular inspections. · The former certificate according to VVFS 1993:18 will terminate in 2006.
