The purpose of this Standard is to establish the provisions, requirements and procedures governing the production, certification and marketing of staple grain and soya seeds for sowing. It applies to all activities related to the production, certification, storage and marketing of such seeds. - Requirements for certified seed production, including requirements concerning production fields, inspections, field tolerance and laboratory tolerance. - Marketing requirements for staple grain and soya seeds. - Requirements for seed processing plants. - Requirements for seed warehouses and storage facilities. - Procedures for the sampling of multiplication lots and quality evaluation of crop seeds.
