Description

Decree of the Ministry of the Interior of the Slovak Republic stipulating requirements laid on fire alarm systems, conditions of their using and securing of their regular checking belongs into a collection of General binding legal provision with technical content. This Decree stipulates requirements regarding function and reliability of listed fire technical devices, conditions of their using and checking.  The Decree contains terminology of fire alarm system, its purpose and general requirements laid on individual elements of fire alarm system.  It defines the fire alarm system control and indicating equipment and determines manufacturing conditions.  The malfunctions, deactivation, testing mode, parameters of devices of fire alarm system (visibility, sound level, time period of switching on and of switching off) and parameters of signal panel are defined as well. Finally the Decree defines the detectors and their classification, together with the user’s duties, checking conditions, content of attached documentation.  This Decree is elaborated in accordance with building requirements resulting from Council Directive 89/106/EEC on construction products and from its interpretative Document 94/C 62/01 ”Basic requirement No.2 - Fire safety”.
