Esta Norma Técnica establece los requisitos mínimos que, desde un punto de vista técnico, han de cumplir las canalizaciones, recintos y elementos complementarios que alberguen la infraestructura común de telecomunicaciones (ITC) para facilitar su despliegue, mantenimiento y reparación, contribuyendo de esta manera a posibilitar el que los usuarios finales accedan a los servicios de telefonía disponible al público y red digital de servicios integrados (TB + RDSI), Telecomunicaciones de banda ancha (TLCA y SAFI) y radiodifusión y televisión (RTV).
