Description

The document specifies marketing standards for the bananas  to be supplied fresh to the consumer, after preparation and packaging.  All fresh bananas supplied to Lithuanian market shall be sorted according to quality classes, packed and marked according to the rules laid down in the document. The check on conformity to the quality standards shall be carried out at the stage of import as provided by the Order of Ministry of Agriculture and of State Food and Veterinary Service of the Republic of Lithuania No. 29/53 of 25 January 2002, "On Quality Control Rules Applicable to Fresh Fruits and Vegetables Imported, Exported and Supplied to the Internal Market" implementing the requirements laid down in the Commission Regulation (EC) No 1148/201 of 12 June on checks on conformity to the marketing standards applicable to fresh fruit and vegetables.
