Description

The Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI) has proposed to enforce TIS 2062-2543(2000) as a compulsory standard. The standard covers safety requirement for electrical thermopots for household and similar purposes, with rated voltage not more than 250 V for single-phase a.c. supply and having water capacity not more than 10 litres. Does not apply to: -	electrical thermopots intended to be used in vehicles or on board ships or aircraft; -	electrical thermopots intended to be used in locations where special conditions prevail, such as the presence of a corrosive or explosive atmosphere (dust, vapour or gas); -	electrical thermopots intended to be used by young children or infirm persons without supervision. Defines principal performance characteristics of electrical thermopots and describes standard methods for measuring their characteristics intended to ensure safety of persons from electric shock.
