Description

The Notification of the Ministry of Public Health (No. 159) B.E.2537(1994) Re : Food Containing Substances Used to Preserve Quality or Standard in Containers Thereof dated 20 October B.E.2537(1994) is withdrawn. Food containing substances used to preserve food quality or standard which are packed in separate containers but are included in the food containers which is sold directly to the consumers shall conform to the Notification of Ministry of Public Health regarding Labelling and the notifications especially issued for such food. In addition the label shall contain the statement in Thai language “Containing …” (space provided for filling the description of packing and types of substances used to preserve food quality or standard, e.g. anti-moisture bags, etc.) in red letters of a size not smaller than 3 mm on white background. Licences for food labelling issued prior to the enforcement of this ministerial notification will still be valid for not more than 2 years. Producers or importers who received licences prior to the enforcement of this ministerial notification must apply for food serial number within one year after this ministerial notification comes into force. Upon submitting the application, the former labels can still be valid for not more than 2 years.
