Description

The present regulation contains an exemption from the ban on the taking part in exhibitions, inspections and championships of bobtailed dogs and horses, provided that these animals were born before 1 September 2001.  Exemption shall also be granted from the ban to trade in these animals.  The aforementioned bans, which are based on Article 41 of the Animal Health and Welfare Act, do apply to bobtailed dogs and horses that were born after 1 September 2001.  In the event of dogs and horses born after this date, taking part in exhibitions, it is stipulated that their tails shall not be docked.
