Description

The Notification of Ministry of Public Health (No.73) B.E.2526(1983) Labelling for Cooking Brine dated 27 January 1983 is withdrawn. Good Manufacturing Practice shall be applied for production of Cooking Brine. In addition, this ministerial notification prescribes labelling requirements, i.e. the name of the food (if any); food classification number; the statements “Cooking Brine”, “preservatives used”, “natural food colour added” or “artificial food colour added ”, “food enhancer used”, “sweeteners used” if used as the case may be; name and address of a manufacturer, repacker or importer; net content of food in metric system;  essential ingredients in percentage of weight; month and year of manufacture, expiry date or date, month and year within which food remains in good quality.  Licences for labelling issues prior to the enforcement of this ministerial notification will be valid for 2 years. Producers or importers who received licences prior to the enforcement of this ministerial notification must apply for licences within one year after this ministerial notification comes into force. Upon submitting the application, the former labels can still be valid for 2 years.
