Description

The Notification of Ministry of Public Health (No. 120) B.E.2532 (1989) Labelling for Flavouring agents dated 16 February 1989 is withdrawn. Good Manufacturing Practice shall be applied for production of flavouring agents.  In addition, this ministerial notification prescribes the following items: Classification Natural Flavouring Agent; Nature-Identical Flavouring Agent; Artificial Flavouring Agent.  All flavouring agent products shall be labelled.  The label shall contain information in Thai language on the name of the food, the statements "Natural flavouring agent", "Nature-Identical flavouring agent", "Artificial flavouring agent" as the case may be; food classification number; net content in metric system; name and address of a manufacturer, repacker or importer as the case may be; types and content of colour (if used), month and year of manufacture or, expiry date or date, month and year within which food remains in good quality. Licences for food labelling issued prior to the enforcement of this ministerial notification will be valid for 2 years.   Producers or importers who received licences prior to the enforcement of this ministerial notification must apply for licences within one year after this ministerial notification comes into force.  Upon submitting the application, the former labels can still be valid for 2 years.
