Description

Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI) has proposed to enforce TIS 1884-2542 (1999) as a mandatory standard.  The standard covers hot-rolled high strength steel coil strip plate and sheet with improved formability for automobile structural uses.  Classifies the product by mechanical properties into 5 grades, i.e. SPFH 490, SPFH 540, SPFH 590, SPFH 540Y and SPFH 590Y.  Specifies mass, dimensions and tolerances, permissible variations, appearance, general characteristics, mechanical properties, e.g. tensile strength, elongation and bendability.  Includes marking and labelling, sampling and criteria for conformity and testing.
