Description

In order to protect public health, the draft regulation lays down the maximum allowable quantities of dioxins and furans for the foodstuffs mentioned in Point 4.  In doing so, every effort has been made to align the regulation as much as possible with the standards recently laid down by Belgium, and use has been made of the toxic equivalence factors drawn up by the World Health Organization (WHO) with regard to dioxins and furans.
