AGENCY: Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, Department of EnergyACTION: Final ruleSUMMARY: The U.S. Department of Energy ("DOE") is amending its test procedure for dehumidifiers to reference the current version of an applicable industry standard; change the rating test period to be two hours; permit the use of sampling trees in conjunction with an aspirating psychrometer or relative humidity sensor; and provide additional specification for testing dehumidifiers with network capabilities. This rulemaking fulfills DOE's obligation to review its test procedures for covered products at least once every seven years.DATES: The effective date of this rule is 25 August 2023. The amendments will be mandatory for product testing starting 22 January 2024.The incorporation by reference of certain material listed in this rule is approved by the Director of the Federal Register on 25 August 2023. The incorporation by reference of certain other materials listed in this rule were approved by the Director of the Federal Register as of 6 April 2012 and 31 August 2015. _x000D_ This final rule and previous actions notified under the symbol as G/TBT/N/USA/907/Rev.1 are identified by Docket Number EERE-2019-BT-TP-0026.
