Description

The notified draft text amends the definition of "gluten-free food" (G/TBT/N/ARG/150/Add.3) to include food that, after having undergone an appropriate technological process proven to effectively remove the gluten, may be recognized as gluten-free. Moreover, it removes the requirement to include the expression "Sin TACC" (wheat-, oat-, barley- and rye-free) near to the product's sales name and modifies the mandatory symbol by replacing the expression "SIN TACC" with "Sin gluten" (gluten-free). (1) This information can be provided by including a website address, a PDF attachment, or other information on where the text of the final measure/change to the measure/interpretative guidance can be obtained.
