Description

The notified protocol establishes the safety certification procedure for air conditioners for domestic use and similar purposes as set out in standard IEC 60335-2-40, with a maximum rated voltage of not more than 300 V for single-phase appliances with a refrigerant gas direct-expansion system, split-type or single-package, ductless, with thermal input not exceeding 12 kW (42,000 BTU/h), and that are air-cooled. It also applies to: Electrical heat pumps for use in air conditioning.
