(Annuls and replaces Mexican Official Standard NOM-015-SECRE-2013: Design, construction, safety, operation and maintenance of liquefied petroleum gas storage systems used at storage and supply installations which are directly linked to systems for transporting or distributing liquefied petroleum gas by pipeline or which form an integral part of land or maritime terminals importing this product)) (58 pages, in Spanish) 6. | Description of content: The notified draft Mexican Official Standard establishes the requirements and specifications for industrial safety, operational safety and environmental protection, which must be applied in the design, construction, pre-startup, operation and maintenance of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) storage installations on land and/or sea, to prevent harm to the population, the installations and the environment. The notified draft Mexican Official Standard is applicable throughout Mexican territory and areas where the Nation exercises its sovereignty and jurisdiction and is binding on all persons engaged in or intend to be engaged in the activities of: I. Land and/or maritime storage of LPG; from the point of reception to the point of delivery of the fuel. II. Pipeline transport or means other than LPG pipeline when its infrastructure uses LPG reception, storage and delivery installations as an operational activity. The following are part of the scope of the notified draft Mexican Official Standard: I. Reception and/or delivery systems by: (a) Pipelines, and (b) Means other than pipelines. II. Storage systems: (a) Pressure vessels, and (b) Refrigerated containers. The notified draft Mexican Official Standard excludes the following: I. Underground storage installations; II. Concrete tanks for the storage of LPG, and III. El presente Proyecto de Norma Oficial Mexicana establece las especificaciones técnicas y requisitos de Seguridad Industrial, Seguridad Operativa, y protección al medio ambiente, que deben ser aplicados en el Diseño, Construcción, Pre-arranque, Operación y Mantenimiento de las Instalaciones terrestres y/o marítimas de Almacenamiento de Gas Licuado de Petróleo (GLP), para prevenir daños a la población, Instalaciones y al medio ambiente.El presente Proyecto de Norma Oficial Mexicana, aplica en todo el territorio nacional y zonas donde la Nación ejerza su soberanía y jurisdicción, es de observancia general y obligatoria para los Regulados que realicen actividades de:_x000D_ I.    Almacenamiento terrestre y/o marítimas de GLP; desde el punto de recepción hasta el punto de entrega del combustible._x000D_ II.    Transporte por Ducto o medios distintos a Ducto de GLP cuando dentro de su infraestructura utilice Instalaciones de recepción, guarda y entrega de GLP como una actividad operativa._x000D_ Forman parte del alcance de este Proyecto de Norma Oficial Mexicana los:_x000D_ I.    Sistemas de recepción y/o entrega por:_x000D_ a)    Ducto, y_x000D_ b)    Medios distintos a Ducto._x000D_ II.    Sistemas de Almacenamiento en:_x000D_ a)    Recipientes a presión, y_x000D_ b)    Recipientes refrigerados._x000D_ Este Proyecto de Norma Oficial Mexicana excluye lo siguiente:_x000D_ I.    Instalaciones de Almacenamiento subterráneo;_x000D_ II.    Tanques de concreto para el Almacenamiento de GLP, y_x000D_ III.    Almacenamiento utilizado dentro del proceso de una Refinería o de un Complejo Procesador de Gas (CPG).
