TITLE: New Source Performance Standards for Greenhouse Gas Emissions From New, Modified, and Reconstructed Fossil Fuel-Fired Electric Generating Units; Emission Guidelines for Greenhouse Gas Emissions From Existing Fossil Fuel-Fired Electric Generating Units; and Repeal of the Affordable Clean Energy RuleAGENCY: Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)ACTION: Proposed rule; extension of comment periodSUMMARY: On 23 May 2023, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued a proposal titled, "New Source Performance Standards for Greenhouse Gas Emissions from New, Modified, and Reconstructed Fossil Fuel-Fired Electric Generating Units; Emission Guidelines for Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Existing Fossil Fuel-Fired Electric Generating Units; and Repeal of the Affordable Clean Energy Rule''. The EPA is extending the comment period on the proposed rules from 24 July 2023, to 8 August 2023.DATES: The public comment period for the proposed rule published in the Federal Register (FR) on 23 May 2023 (88 FR 33240) is being extended by 15 days. The comment period will now remain open until 8 August 2023, to allow additional time for stakeholders to review and comment on the proposals. _x000D_ This extension of comment period to the proposed rule notified as G/TBT/N/USA/2001 is identified by Docket Number EPA-HQ-OAR-2023-0072. The Docket Folder is available on Regulations.gov at https://www.regulations.gov/docket/EPA-HQ-OAR-2023-0072/document and provides access to primary documents as well as comments received. Documents are also accessible from Regulations.gov by searching the Docket Number. WTO Members and their stakeholders are asked to submit comments to the USA TBT Enquiry Point by or before 4:00 p.m.Eastern Time on 8 August 2023. Comments received by the USA TBT Enquiry Point from WTO Members and their stakeholders will be shared with the regulator and will also be submitted to the Docket on Regulations.gov if received within the comment period.
