Description
On 16 November 2023, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) proposed a rule titled “National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants: Rubber Tire Manufacturing Amendments.” The EPA is extending the comment period on this proposed rule that currently closes on 2 January 2024, by 13 days. The comment period will now remain open until 15 January 2024, to allow additional time for stakeholders and Tribal Nations to review and comment on the proposal.The public comment period for the proposed rule published in the Federal Register (FR) on 16 November 2023 (88 FR 78692), originally ending 2 January 2024, is being extended by 13 days. Written comments must be received on or before 15 January 2024.Title 40 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 63This extension of public comment period and the proposed rule notified as G/TBT/N/USA/2073 are identified by Docket Number EPA-HQ-OAR-2019-0392. The Docket Folder is available from Regulations.gov at https://www.regulations.gov/docket/EPA-HQ-OAR-2019-0392/document and provides access to primary and supporting documents as well as comments received. Documents are also accessible from Regulations.gov by searching the Docket Number. WTO Members and their stakeholders are asked to submit comments to the USA TBT Enquiry Point by or before 4pmEastern Time on 15 January 2024. Comments received by the USA TBT Enquiry Point from WTO Members and their stakeholders will be shared with EPA and will also be submitted to the Docket on Regulations.gov if received within the comment period.
