The two proposed regulations notified in G/TBT/N/CAN/704 (dated August 2, 2023) were adopted on 15 May 2024 and published on 22 May 2024 and are as follows:the Marketing Authorization to Permit a Lower Calcium Threshold for Exemptions from the Requirement for Prepackaged Products to Carry a Nutrition Symbol in the Case of Cheese, Yogurt, Kefir and Buttermilk, which will expand the eligibility for the existing dairy-related front-of-package nutrition labelling exemptions by implementing a lower calcium threshold (5% daily value) than what is set out in the Food and Drug Regulations (10% or 15% daily value)andthe Marketing Authorization for Vitamin D in Yogurt and Kefir, which will enable manufacturers to voluntarily fortify yogurt, including drinkable yogurt, and kefir made from dairy products with vitamin D according to the amounts set out in the Regulations._x000D_
