This initiative provides the technical requirements and test procedures for the approval of trucks, buses and coaches (M2, M3, N2 and N3) with regard to the event data recorder systems in accordance with Article 6 of Regulation (EU) 2019/2144 of the European Parliament and of the Council including by making applicable in EU law the requirements of UN Regulation No [169]. It also covers the approval of EDR systems as separate technical units.
