Description

K Acid, also known as 2-Naphthylamine-3 : 6 : 8-trisulfonic acid, is an ammonolysis product that is a water soluble, stable compound with a sulfonic acid functional group. K Acid has been shown to be effective in wastewater treatment and can be used as a catalyst for the removal of chlorides and sulfates from wastewater. K Acid is also an excellent diazonium salt precursor that can be used in the production of dyes. The locally manufactured or imported K Acid shall conform to the Indian Standard (IS 11557:1986) and shall bear the Standard Mark under license from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) as per Scheme-I of Schedule-II of the Bureau of Indian Standards (Conformity Assessment) Regulations, 2018. The use of Standard Mark is governed by the provisions of Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016 and the Rules and Regulations made thereunder. Bureau of Indian Standards shall be the certifying and enforcing authority.
